As a Account Manager at Shaker, you will be at the forefront of our business development efforts, ensuring our clients receive top-notch service and solutions. Your responsibilities will span across sales, estimating, communication, team collaboration, and non-selling activities. You will play a crucial role in driving our growth and maintaining our reputation for excellence while living our core values: Trust, Communication, Teamwork, Growth, and Fun.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

Fundamentals:

  • Master SHAKER’s value proposition and effectively communicate it to prospects.
  • Know our products and services inside out and utilize this knowledge to cross-sell and up-sell.
  • Understand vendor products and their applications to provide accurate estimates and clear product differentiation.
  • Listen to customers’ needs, identify pain points, and offer solutions through value-selling strategies.
  • Utilize SHAKER’S’s selling system for optimal selling of commercial and industrial services.
  • Conduct site visits, gather data, and communicate with estimators to create detailed proposals.
  • Be proficient in Excel and our CRM (Pipeline Deals).

Preparation:

  • Confirm and prepare for prospect appointments.
  • Maintain an active weekly sales action plan.
  • Research target companies and contacts before visits.
  • Use Pipeline Deals for all sales activities and planning.
  • Plan safe travel to bids without rushing.

Selling:

  • Represent SHAKER’S professionally during site visits and measurements.
  • Review estimates with Management within 24 hours.
  • Ensure timely and accurate Scope of Work and proposal delivery.
  • Respond to phone calls and emails within 8 business hours.
  • Follow up consistently on all open bids to secure a decision.
  • Use SHAKER’S’s methodology for differentiating, qualifying, and closing sales.

Results/Post Sales:

  • Ensure a smooth handoff to Inside Operations.
  • Be present at job starts to ensure proper setup and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain relationships with clients and act as a point of contact for issue resolution.
  • Visit each sold job at least once to maintain relationships with customers and crew.
  • Report pipeline, activity, and results to the National Sales Team and in sales meetings.
  • Finalize contracts, receive deposits, and collaborate with Operations for client satisfaction.

Prospecting & Business Development:

  • Develop and execute a prospecting plan to generate leads.
  • Participate in networking groups to build relationships and promote SHAKER’S.
  • Cultivate existing business within commercial and industrial markets.

Communication:

  • Maintain regular, productive communication with all team members and customers.
  • Communicate job details clearly to crew leaders and painters.
  • Uphold our company’s reputation by communicating professionally and promptly.

This role requires strong leadership, project management, and communication skills to coordinate between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

Project Planning & Coordination:

  • Work closely with general contractors, property managers, and internal teams to plan and execute projects.
  • Review project scope, specifications, and timelines as communicated in project handoffs to ensure proper resource allocation and scheduling.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings to develop and implement project plans to ensure success of the project.
  • Subcontractor selection for assigned jobs, focusing on the capabilities and core competencies of each subcontractor to ensure the proper fit
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring key milestones are met.

 

Procore Project Management:

  • Utilize Procore as the primary project management tool for planning, tracking, and reporting on all projects.
  • Upload and maintain all project documentation in Procore, including all pertinent project forms, submittals, RFIs, inspections, emails and daily logs.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date information in Procore to facilitate smooth project communication between stakeholders.
  • Train and support team members and subcontractors in using Procore for project tasks and updates.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors and property managers, addressing concerns and providing project updates.
  • Ensure clear and timely communication with all stakeholders, including internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Attend all required meetings as set forth by general contractors, property managers, HOA board members or ownership groups.

Budget & Cost Management:

  • Uphold project budgets and track financial performance, ensuring projects are completed within budget.
  • Review and submit project-related expenses, purchase orders, T+M tickets, and change orders.
  • Ensure project related costs are minimized through reducing material waste, efficient management of the work force and timely removal of unused equipment from the job site.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Ensure all painting work meets company standards and complies with industry regulations.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, safety protocols, and workmanship quality.
  • Team Leadership & Management:
  • Lead and supervise subcontractors, ensuring that they have the proper tools, materials, PPE, and guidance to successfully complete the project.
  • Provide support to ensure project tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Risk & Issue Management:

  • Identify and manage project risks, proactively addressing potential delays or cost overruns.
  • Develop contingency plans and problem-solving strategies to ensure smooth project execution.

About You:

Requirements:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel to job sites as required.

About Us:

Shaker Painting is a leading commercial painting contractor in Denver, specializing in HOAs, multifamily properties, senior living facilities, commercial spaces, and new construction. We are seeking hardworking and skilled commercial painters to join our team for a seasonal full-time position, with the potential to transition into a permanent role based on performance and project needs.

Position Overview:

This position is ideal for experienced commercial painters looking for consistent work with a reputable company. You will be responsible for interior and exterior painting on commercial projects, working efficiently while maintaining high-quality results.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces (clean, sand, patch, and prime) for painting.
  • Apply paints, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
  • Follow company procedures to ensure a smooth and lasting finish.
  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
  • Adhere to OSHA safety standards and company guidelines.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment while meeting quality expectations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of commercial painting experience (HOA, multifamily, new construction, or commercial repaint preferred).
